I personally have no trouble understanding what all the presenter are saying except the hifistud. He is Scottish as near as I can tell from his accent and it is a bit thick at times so even I have trouble understanding him at times. For instance, when he say things like granny apple I hear gonny apeh. If I wasn’t able to figure out the granny from his accent I wouldn’t know what he was saying.
Hifi is from the North East of England, as am I.
Now the Granny Apple… well up here in the North, there is a ‘pudding’ or ‘dessert’ if you prefer, which is made with apples, caramel and pastry and known as ‘Apple Ganny’ note the r is missing…:)
The original ejuice of that mix was created by Hifi and Peter Cole at Vapefest 2010, and was named Apple Ganny… so its all those who brought out similar flavours later who have the name wrong….:)
Both Hifi and myself slip into dialect quite often, and I often forget not everyone understands… but no worries rebel, we shall continue to teach you all…..hahaha
Having watched Hifi’s “idiot brother” videos on youtube since May 2010, and watched both Hifi and Cat on VTTV since episode 1, I found that one can get used to it after about 3 months. But…..(or “boat”, as Dave K tends to say it)…..I do get a surprise every now and then that requires a few rewinds to make some sense out of it….. I find that this actually makes the VTTV experience a lot more fun and entertaining. Keep it as it is….don’t change it….pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeezzzz
We promise we won’t change Jack… Dave can do ‘Posh’ I fall over my tongue trying…
I’m afraid I’m one of those people who take on an accent quickly… you should hear me talking to my sister in law in Aberdeen….hahaha… I speak to her in broad Aberdonian…
I just realized that I can understand everything that the Vapourmists say on their show. Well….the Vapourmists and Andy Sutton.
Every other presenter has some kind of accent that forces me to rewind a bit and listen very carefully.
